Tucks

Tucks is a relaxed cellar door at 37 Shoreham Road in Red Hill South with a lawn and terrace over the vineyard, and for years it was one of the most openly dog-friendly stops on the Mornington Peninsula, complete with its own #pupsattucks rules and page titled We Love Pups at Tucks.

Worth knowing

Tucks is currently closed to visitors for regular cellar door trading. The winery's own site says so plainly, with word of pop-ups and new plans promised through their newsletter and socials, and the property still takes private event bookings. The dog-friendly spirit carries to the ticketed events they do run, though the organisers are honest that busy music days are not right for every dog. Check their site before planning a visit around the lawn.

Max: the lawn days were legendary. Until the pop-ups return, the humans will have to find their pinot elsewhere.

Red Hill South has other dog-welcoming doors: Avani Wines pours small-batch Syrah a short drive away, and the Red Hill Rail Trail makes a good leg-stretch with the dog nearby.
