Angullong Wines - Cellar Door Sales & Wine Tasting

Angullong's cellar door is a small, characterful space in the Old Bluestone Stables on the corner of Park and Victoria Streets in Millthorpe village, pouring cool-climate wines from the family's Orange region vineyards. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the tasting, and the walkable heritage village makes it an easy stop to fold into a day out with the dog.

Dogs on leads can join you at the tasting. The space is a historic stables building, so it is compact, but the staff have a strong reputation for rearranging tables to make room for a comfortable tasting with a dog alongside. Bring your own water bowl and treats, as this is a small, hands-on tasting room rather than a sprawling lawn setup, and it best suits a calm dog that settles at your feet rather than one needing space to move.

Worth knowing

The wines are cool-climate Orange staples: Pinot Noir is the flagship, alongside sparkling, whites, rose and reds at fair prices. Reviewers consistently single out the knowledgeable, friendly service and personable, unhurried tastings. Open daily from 11am, running to 4pm early in the week and 5pm Thursday to Sunday. A relaxed weekday afternoon suits a dog best; weekends can fill the small room.

Getting there and parking

The cellar door is right in the Millthorpe village, about twenty minutes from Orange, with street parking usually close by and an easy walk from most of town. The village is pleasant for an on-lead walk between stops.
