Glenorie Road Off Leash Dog Area

A small fenced off-leash dog area on the edge of Millthorpe village, at the corner of Glenorie Road and Forest Reefs Road. It gives visiting and local dogs a secure spot to run without much travel from the town centre, which is the main reason to bother with it on a Central West trip.

The rules. Dogs are off-leash inside the fenced area and must be on-leash everywhere else around Millthorpe. Blayney Shire Council requires voice control at all times and you are legally responsible for your dog's behaviour. Pick up after your dog; failing to do so can attract a fine.

What's there. The area is fully fenced, with seating and some shelter, bins and dog water. It is a functional local exercise reserve rather than a destination park, so keep expectations modest.

Getting there. It sits just outside the main village grid at the Glenorie Road and Forest Reefs Road intersection, a short walk or a minute's drive from the centre of Millthorpe. Street parking is usually available along Glenorie Road.

When to go. Weekday mornings are quiet; Saturday and Sunday afternoons draw the local dogs. If yours is timid, aim for a midweek daytime visit. Good for a quick leg-stretch between village stops rather than a long session.
