Tilbrook Estate is a family-run, zero net carbon cellar door on Lobethal Road, rebuilt after the 2019 Cudlee Creek bushfire, and one of the few Adelaide Hills wineries that lets dogs in at the cellar door itself.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome inside the cellar door as well as on the outdoor lawn and seating areas, which is unusual for the region, though they should stay on-leash in shared areas. Water bowls are commonly provided. There are plans for a fully fenced off-leash area down the track, but for now treat the site as on-leash throughout. If you are considering camping on-site, pets are usually welcome with prior arrangement, so confirm at booking.

Known for. Tilbrook markets itself as one of the first zero net carbon cellar doors in South Australia, and it is popular for wood-fired pizzas alongside its boutique wine list.

Getting there and parking. The address is 1856 Lobethal Road, Lobethal. Free on-site parking is available, and it is an easy drive within the Adelaide Hills.

Nearby with the dogs. The old Lobethal Mill and township area is a short drive away with walkable streets, and Mount Torrens nearby has forest walking options. Several other Adelaide Hills wineries also allow dogs in outdoor areas if you want to make a day of it.

Confirm opening hours before you drive out, this cellar door mostly runs weekends and Friday evenings rather than being open daily.
