What visitors mention
Golding Wines is a family-owned winery on the outskirts of Lobethal, known for its sandstone barn, terraced gardens and cool-climate Pinot Noir, and it welcomes dogs across its outdoor areas.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor terraced garden areas and covered porch spaces, but they are not permitted inside the tasting room or the Ginkgo Restaurant. Cool water is generally available for dogs. Keep dogs on a leash at all times, the site gets busy with other guests and events. The Hamper in the Hills experience specifically does not allow dogs, so book something else if you are bringing yours.
Known for. Golding specialises in cool-climate wines from the Lenswood appellation, particularly Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, with the Ginkgo Restaurant serving locally sourced, seasonal food and vineyard views from the terraces.
Getting there and parking. The winery is at 52 Western Branch Road, Lobethal, on the outskirts of town, roughly 40 to 50 minutes from Adelaide's CBD. Onsite parking is available via the driveway up to the barn.
Nearby with the dogs. Lobethal Bushland Park is nearby and suits a leashed walk before or after your visit, and several other Adelaide Hills wineries and cafes allow dogs in their outdoor areas if you want to extend the day.
