Petaluma Wine

Petaluma's Woodside cellar door is a converted farmstead in the Adelaide Hills with expansive lawns, a large deck and panoramic vineyard views. Dogs are welcome both outside and, when it is quiet, inside the cellar door itself.

The dog setup. Dogs on lead are welcome on the outdoor deck under the umbrellas and across the surrounding lawns. Well-behaved dogs are also allowed inside the cellar door when it is not busy. Water is generally available on request.

Known for. Premium cool-climate wines, particularly chardonnay, pinot noir and shiraz, plus platters and curated tasting experiences with sweeping Hills views from the deck.

Getting there. The cellar door is at 254 Pfeiffer Road, Woodside, about 40-50 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. On-site parking is available.

Nearby with the dogs. Lobethal Road Wines is a dog-friendly winery about 10 minutes away, and the Woodside township has cafes and parks for a walk before or after tasting.

Weekday visits mean more room on the deck and a better shot at a quiet indoor spot if the weather turns. Weekends can fill the lawns fast, especially over long weekends.
