Simon Tolley Cellar Door & Accommodation

Simon Tolley is a working cool-climate vineyard on Bird In Hand Road, Woodside, with a rustic cellar door pouring pinot noir, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc. Dogs are welcome at the cellar door, and the winery runs a monthly dog-focused event called Pinot and Pooch.

The dog setup. Well-behaved dogs on lead are welcome in both the outdoor lawn area and the indoor tasting room, useful if the Hills weather turns. On the third Sunday of the month, Pinot and Pooch adds a guided vineyard walk with free treats and water bowls for dogs.

Known for. Cool-climate pinot noir, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc, plus the intimate, quieter feel compared to larger Hills cellar doors.

Getting there. The cellar door is at 278 Bird In Hand Road, Woodside, on-site parking is available and the space is wheelchair accessible.

Nearby with the dogs. Oakbank is a short drive away with a shaded trail along the old railway line, and the Woodside township has cafes and a park a few minutes' drive from the cellar door.

Before you book. The Simon Tolley Lodge accommodation on the same property does not accept pets, so this is a cellar-door visit rather than a dog-friendly stay.

Go on a Pinot and Pooch Sunday for the full experience, or any weekday for a quieter tasting with the dog underfoot.
