Yaroomba Bushland Park

Yaroomba Bushland Park is a shaded bush loop on the Sunshine Coast, with a raised eco-boardwalk carrying you over wetland. Dogs are allowed, on lead, and it makes a quiet change from the sand.

Lead rules

Sunshine Coast Council manages the park and requires dogs to stay on a lead throughout. The boardwalk and tracks are shared, so keep your dog close as you pass other walkers.

The walk

The loop mixes the elevated boardwalk with dirt and paved bush tracks. It winds through pockets of native vegetation and wetland, and there are wooden sculptures tucked away along the route for sharp eyes to find.

Tree cover keeps most of the trail shaded, which helps on warm days. Bring water for your dog, since the loop is bush rather than a serviced park.

Make a day of it

Add some coastal walking on the Point Arkwright Trail, or stop for a bite at Divine Cafe & Bar in Coolum Beach.

Mornings are cool and calm under the trees. It suits dogs that would rather sniff their way through the bush than run.
