Tangari Regional Park

Tangari Regional Park is a patch of urban bushland in Woodcroft, just over the line from Old Reynella. Grey box gums, old farm ponds and wide gravel tracks make it a calm ramble for dogs who like a proper sniff.

Leads and the off-lead area

The City of Onkaparinga manages the park. Dogs must be on a lead on the shared tracks and in the conservation zones.

Some open grassed areas allow dogs off the lead under effective control. Read the signs at the entry before you unclip.

The walk

Tracks are well kept gravel and earth with gentle gradients, so most dogs and handlers manage them easily. Tree cover comes and goes, with shaded seating in places and open grass fields between the groves.

Getting started

Free street parking sits near the main entry points, including around Pine Road. Bins are close to the entries, but carry your own bags and bring water and a bowl, as supply along the tracks is unreliable.

When to go

Cooler mornings suit it best, since the open fields warm up quickly. It is a good choice for dogs who find busy suburban parks a bit much.
