Warada Street Reserve

Warada Street Reserve is a quiet pocket of bush in Westleigh, with a short dirt track beside a small creek. It suits a calm, low-traffic walk for dogs that prefer a sniff to a sprint.

Lead rules

Hornsby Shire Council requires dogs to be on lead in public places unless an area is signed for off-lead use, and this reserve is not. The nearest off-lead option is the fenced dog park at Ruddock Park.

The walk

The track is unpaved and short, running under native trees along the creek line. The canopy keeps it shady, which helps on warm days.

There is no dog water and few bins on the track, so bring water, a bowl and bags. Park on the nearby residential streets.

A good choice for reactive or nervous dogs that do better away from busy parks.
