Warren Little Oval along Turallo Creek

Warren Little Oval sits on McMahon Drive at the edge of Bungendore village, and the walk follows the grassy banks of Turallo Creek to an unfenced off-lead area opposite the oval.

Lead rules

Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council keeps dogs off the sporting grounds during organised sport and bookings. Around the oval and along the creek, walk with the dog on lead.

Dogs can run off lead in the open space opposite the oval, along Turallo Terrace and McMahon Drive near Dandeleo Dog Park. It is unfenced and sits beside a floodway, so only unclip a dog with reliable recall.

The walk

This is grass and natural ground rather than a sealed path, running past goalposts and native creekside plants. Scattered trees give some shade, but much of the open ground is exposed.

Before you go

Park on the street near the oval, McMahon Drive or the skate park and pool precinct. Bins sit near the recreation areas, and bubblers are limited, so bring water for the dog.

When to go

Cooler mornings suit the exposed grass, especially in summer. Dogs with solid recall get the most from the open space by the creek.
