Turkeys Nest Recreation Park

A paved circuit around a duck pond makes Turkeys Nest Recreation Park on Tamborine Drive one of the easiest short walks in Beaumont Hills. Dogs are welcome, on lead.

Lead rules

The Hills Shire Council requires dogs to be leashed in all general parks and reserves unless a spot is signed as off-leash, and this park is not. Keep the lead on for the whole loop.

The walk

The smooth concrete path circles the pond, passing a viewing platform, an open grassed area and a children's playground. It is flat and low impact, so it suits older dogs and pups still learning to walk nicely.

Parts of the pond path sit in full sun, though there are picnic shelters. There is no dog water on the loop, so bring a bottle and bowl, and note there are no public toilets on site.

Park on Tamborine Drive next to the entry. General bins sit around the picnic areas, but bring your own bags.

Late afternoon is the local favourite, when the heat drops and the sunset settles over the open grass.
