Richardson Avenue Reserve

Tranmere's council reserve walk is really Richardson Avenue Reserve, a green strip along Third Creek that continues towards The Gums Reserve. Dogs are welcome on lead.

Lead rules

Campbelltown City Council allows dogs in its reserves on a leash no longer than 2 metres. Dogs are not allowed on the soft-fall areas of children's playgrounds.

The walk

A gentle path follows Third Creek past open lawns, large native trees and interpretive panels. The surface mixes grass with suburban footpaths and creek corridor paths.

Tree canopy gives shade in patches, and bins sit along the adjoining paths. Park in the local streets beside the reserve entries.

Pair it with

Caffè Lupo in Tranmere is the natural coffee stop. For an off-lead run, Four Paws Park at Denis Morrissey Park in Hectorville is fully fenced.

When to go

This is a quiet neighbourhood walk rather than a destination, best for a relaxed sniff along the creek. Bring water for the dog.
