Cook and Banks Reserve

Cook and Banks Reserve, off Cook Parade in St Clair, is a local sports reserve where paved paths edge around open ovals. Dogs are welcome on a lead.

Lead rules

Penrith City Council keeps the reserve and its sportsgrounds on lead. For off-lead time, St Clair Fenced Dog Park on St Clair Avenue is the nearby option.

The walk

Concrete and asphalt paths run beside well-kept grass, with mature trees and neighbourhood planting around the ovals. It is flat, simple walking, suited to a daily loop.

The open grass is handy for a bit of training or a slow sniff between laps.

Water and shade

Mature trees give some shade through the day. Bins are along the paths and edges, but water for dogs is limited, so carry a bottle.

Street parking is right beside the reserve on Cook Parade and the surrounding streets.
