Claremont Meadows Fenced Dog Park

Claremont Meadows Fenced Dog Park is a small, fully fenced off-leash enclosure on Caddens Road, open around the clock. It is the no-frills local option in a suburb that also has the much larger Gipps Street precinct down the road, and it suits a quick leg-stretch run far better than a destination outing.

The dog setup

The enclosure is flat and grassy with a water tap, a few stone-block seats and basic benches. Shade is limited and there are no toilets, so this is a functional stop rather than a place to linger. There is no separate small-dog yard, so size the room in the run against your dog's confidence before unclipping.

Close the perimeter gate securely behind you before letting your dog off, keep them within view and under voice control, and carry a lead even inside the fence. Dogs should be registered and current on vaccinations, as with any NSW off-leash area, and clean-up is on you, with bins on site.

This is a quiet neighbourhood park, rarely busy and best for owners who want an unfussy off-leash stop. If you want agility gear, separate big and small dog zones or somewhere to spend an hour, the Gipps Street Recreation Precinct a few minutes away is the bigger draw.

Getting there and parking

The park sits at 402-408 Caddens Road, an easy run off the M4 and near the Western Sydney University Kingswood campus. There is no dedicated car park, so use the adjacent residential streets and be considerate of neighbours. Local Penrith bus routes stop along Caddens Road.

Close by with the dogs

The Gipps Street Recreation Precinct dog park adds separate small and large dog zones, and the Werrington off-leash area at Kingswood is another option nearby. For a post-park coffee, Cassandra's on the Park at St Marys welcomes dogs outside.
