Roy Dudley Park

Roy Dudley Park Reserve is a tidy pocket of grass on The Parkway, right in the residential heart of Beaumont Hills. It is a quick on-lead leg stretch rather than a destination walk.

Leads and the playground

The Hills Shire Council does not list the reserve as an off-leash area, so dogs stay on lead at all times. Keep at least 10 metres clear of the playground equipment.

What you'll find

Concrete paths run around an open grassed space, with a shaded playground and a picnic setting under a shelter. Much of the lawn is unshaded in the middle of the day.

There is no dog bubbler in the reserve, so bring water and a bowl. Public bins are on hand for bagged waste.

Max: The playground is the busy corner here. Shorten the lead as you pass and give it the full 10 metres.

Make a day of it

Finish with a coffee at The Dining and Co Beaumont Hills.

Park on The Parkway or a nearby side street. Weekdays are quiet, which makes it a calm spot for a nervous dog's daily sniff.
