Pullenvale Recreation Reserve

At about two hectares, Pullenvale Recreation Reserve on Pullenvale Road is a small, quiet green space in Brisbane's semi-rural west. Dogs are welcome, on lead.

Lead rules

The reserve is not a designated off-leash area, so Brisbane City Council's on-lead rule applies across the grass and paths.

What to expect

This is a short stroll rather than a long walk. Open grassed areas are edged by mature bushland, and the trees give intermittent shade around the margins.

Bins are near the main picnic spots. Dog water on site is limited, so bring a bottle and a travel bowl.

Parking is available off Pullenvale Road.

Who it suits

The acreage setting keeps traffic and noise low, which makes it a good fit for dogs who find busy parks too much. In summer, go early while the edges still hold some shade.
