Preston Point Reserve

Preston Point Reserve fronts the Swan River in East Fremantle, and its signed off-lead areas run down to small river beaches where dogs can swim.

Leads and the off-lead area

The Town of East Fremantle has signposted off-lead exercise zones across the reserve and its foreshore.

Outside them, dogs must be on a lead no longer than two metres.

The walk

Asphalt and concrete shared paths cross the grassed reserve with wide views of the river and passing boats.

The paths link into foreshore trails heading toward Bicton Baths, so you can make it as long as you like.

Getting started

Parking bays sit along Preston Point Road near the boat clubs. Mature trees give some shade, and council bins are on site.

Pepsi: The river beaches here are the reward. Bring a towel, because a dog who has found the water will not stay dry.

Make a day of it

Try the fenced run at Silas Street Reserve Fenced Dog Park, or stop for a drink at The Left Bank.

Mornings and evenings bring the best light over the river. It suits water-loving dogs of every size.
