Inner Harbour Loop Path

Hart's Mill sits on Port Adelaide's Inner Harbour, and the paths around it form part of the Inner Harbour Loop Path, also called the Annie Rennie Path. It is flat, paved and on lead, with a real chance of dolphins in the Port River.

Lead rules

The City of Port Adelaide Enfield requires dogs on a lead no longer than 2 metres on footpaths and shared paths. Keep at least 5 metres from children's play spaces, including the Hart's Mill playground.

The walk

The concrete path is pram and wheelchair friendly, looping the harbour past maritime heritage and public art. It suits dogs of any age or fitness.

Water and shade

Drinking fountains are spaced along the network near the bridges and wharf, and bins are easy to find. Shade comes from built structures and small pocket parks, with some open waterfront stretches between.

Parking is plentiful around Hart's Mill, the wharf precinct and nearby streets.

Pepsi: Watch the water as you go. Dolphins turn up in the Port River right beside the path.

Finish with a drink at The Lighthouse Wharf Hotel or a coffee at Milledge's Café.

Mornings are the calm time on the waterfront, and cooler for the exposed stretches.
