Plateau Park

Plateau Park pairs an open grass field with a patch of protected bushland on Plateau Road, Bilgola Plateau. It is a quiet, low-traffic stroll for dogs on lead, not an off-leash run.

Lead rules

Northern Beaches Council manages the park, and standard rules for general reserves apply. Dogs must be on a lead throughout.

Grass and bush

The field is open and grassy. Beside it, the bushland reserve covers about two hectares of Duffy's Forest, a threatened ecological community of eucalypts over a thick layer of native flowering shrubs.

Underfoot you get grass and natural unpaved ground. The canopy gives pockets of shade, and the reserve works as a local wildlife refuge, so keep dogs on the tracks.

Before you go

The council lists no dog water in the park, so carry some. Park on Plateau Road right out the front, and bring bags since dedicated dog bins are limited.
