Bill Sohier Park

Bill Sohier Park on Shirley Street, Ourimbah, pairs a lap of big grassed ovals with a fenced off-lead dog area, which makes it a useful Central Coast stop for a dog that needs both.

Leads and the off-lead area

Dogs can run free inside the fenced off-lead area. Everywhere else in the park, including the paths around the ovals, they stay on lead.

The walk

The walk is a loop of the asphalt and concrete paths around the sports fields. Mature trees give pockets of shade around the edges.

Free on-site parking, toilets and lighting make it an easy stop. Bring a bowl, as dog water is not confirmed.

When to go

Mornings and evenings are coolest on the open fields. It suits social dogs, since local owners use it a lot.
