O'Sullivan Beach Coast Park Trail

The foreshore path at O'Sullivan Beach is part of the Coast Park Trail heading south towards Christies Beach. What makes it worth the drive is the beach beside it, where dogs can run off leash all year.

Leads and the beach

The City of Onkaparinga runs a year-round dog exercise area on the foreshore between O'Sullivan Beach and Christies Beach. On the built shared path itself, keep your dog on lead under the council's normal rules.

The walk

The path is sealed concrete and asphalt with wide views over Gulf St Vincent. You pass rock walls, low cliffs and the busy boat ramp area.

Taps sit near the main foreshore and the boat ramp, and bins line the path. Shade is patchy, so the trail is mostly exposed.

Free parking is available near Marine Drive and the boat ramp.

Pepsi: Save the swim for the beach section, then rinse off at a tap near the boat ramp.

Make a day of it

Walk on to Christies Beach for a drink at Annie's Cafe.

Go early or late in summer, when the open path is cooler.
