FLAVA Cafe - 'Taste the Vibe'

Where dogs go. FLAVA sits right on the Esplanade at Christies Beach, directly opposite the sand, and dogs are welcome on the alfresco deck that looks out over the water. Indoor seating is people-only, so aim for the outdoor tables and you are set.

The setup. It is a casual, licensed cafe open seven days, roughly 8am to 5pm. Staff are used to dogs and will usually bring a water bowl on request, and the deck has the kind of uninterrupted ocean view that makes a post-walk coffee worth stretching out.

Known for. All-day breakfast, a gelato bar, and seafood plates. The seafood trio and the burgers get the most mentions, and the sea view does a lot of the heavy lifting.

Getting there. Street parking runs along the Esplanade but fills fast on warm weekends, so an early start helps. The coastal path passes the door, which makes arriving on foot with the dog the easy option.

Best paired with a beach walk across the road. Check the Onkaparinga Council signs for the current on-leash and off-leash times before you let the lead off.
