Nirimba Sports Complex Walking Path

The paths around the Nirimba Sports Complex are wide, smooth and new, which makes them a tidy on-leash circuit in Aura. Dogs must stay on lead and off the playing fields and courts.

The walk

The complex sits on Sports Drive, and its asphalt and concrete paths join the wider walking and cycling network through the estate. You pass sports fields, club buildings and open grass, with houses on the outer edge.

The surface is even enough for prams and wheelchairs, so it suits older dogs and anyone after a steady fitness walk.

Lead rules

Sunshine Coast Council manages the complex. Dogs are allowed on the public paths on a leash, but they can't go onto the fields or courts.

Water and shade

Drinking fountains and bins are spread around the precinct, and there is plenty of on-site parking.

The landscaping is still young, so shade is patchy away from the clubhouses and grandstands. Take water on hot days.

For off-lead play, finish at the Annalise Circuit Park Fenced Dog Park, then grab a coffee at Rhythm Espresso.

Walk it early or late in summer, when the fields are quieter and the paths are cooler.
