Moreton Bay Cycleway

Bay views come with every step on the Moreton Bay Cycleway through Woody Point. The paved foreshore path is open to dogs, as long as they stay on a lead.

The rules

City of Moreton Bay keeps dogs on-lead along its shared foreshore paths and public walkways. The exception is a designated off-leash park, if you happen to pass one.

Cyclists use this path too, so a short lead makes life easier for everyone.

Along the foreshore

The path is concrete and continues around the coast to Clontarf, Redcliffe and Scarborough. Along the way you pass the Woody Point Jetty and the wreck of HMQS Gayundah, with stretches of coastal parkland in between.

Bring water for the dog on warm days.

Make a day of it

Woody Point has good dog-friendly stops close by. Try Letter M. Espresso for coffee, or settle in at The Belvedere.

Flat and sealed, it suits older dogs and easy walks. Mornings are the cooler, quieter time to go.
