Goodwood Oval

Goodwood Oval, on Curzon Avenue in Millswood right beside Goodwood, is an off-leash oval where dogs can run whenever organised sport is not on.

Off-lead rules

The City of Unley allows dogs off lead at all times except while organised sporting activities are in progress. When a match or training session starts, clip the lead back on or move off the field.

The perimeter walk

Concrete, bitumen and paved paths circle the oval past heritage grandstands, open turf, cricket nets and shaded play areas. Mature trees give good shade for a rest.

Drinking fountains with low bowls for dogs are on site, bins sit around the perimeter and pavilion, and public toilets are next to the paths.

Pepsi: Wide open turf and a water bowl at dog height. Check the field is clear of teams, then it is time to run.

Make a day of it

Trouble and Strife and Hey George Community in Goodwood are close by for a coffee after.

Park on Curzon or Fairfax avenues, or near the clubrooms. Locals gather here on morning and evening walks, so it suits social dogs that love a big open run.
