Queen's Park Botanical Gardens

The walk here is a loop of the paths in Queen's Park Botanical Gardens, on Garden Street in Millbank, just outside Bundaberg Central. Dogs are welcome on a lead.

Lead rules

Bundaberg Regional Council requires dogs on a lead throughout the gardens and park paths.

The walk

Formed paths, a mix of concrete and built walking tracks, wind through subtropical plantings and past water.

Many of the mature trees carry historic name plaques, and their canopy shades wide grassy areas.

Water and parking

There are water points and bins around the park, but carry a bottle for the dog on warm days.

You can park beside and inside the grounds near the main entries.

Make a day of it

Grab a coffee at Grindstone Coffee House, or let the dog run off lead at Bundaberg North Dog Park.

It is quiet and away from traffic, which makes it a pleasant slow stroll for older dogs in the morning or late afternoon.
