Bundaberg North Dog Park

Bundaberg North Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash park at 29 Edina Street, tucked in near Lions Park under the Burnett Bridge. It is one of Bundaberg's purpose-built fenced dog parks, and the divided layout makes it a low-stress option for dogs of any size or confidence level.

The dog setup

Dogs stay on a lead until they are through the gate and inside the fenced area. Inside, you are still responsible for keeping your dog under voice control, and any sign of aggression means leashing up and leaving straight away.

The fencing is high with safety gates, and separate zones let you pick the right space for your dog rather than gambling on one shared run. Pick up after your dog and bring your own bags rather than relying on the park to have them.

Max: check both gate latches on the way in, every time. A fenced park only stays safe while everyone who uses it closes up properly behind them.

What you'll find

There is agility equipment for dogs that like a structured workout, water taps and bowls for the refill, and benches for owners. Trees provide some shade, though it thins out over summer, so early mornings are the comfortable shift in the Bundaberg heat.

Getting there

The park sits on Edina Street in Bundaberg North, just across the Burnett River from the city centre, with street parking nearby. The riverbank paths along the Burnett make a good on-lead warm-up if your dog arrives with energy to burn.
