Lee Park

Lee Park on Russell Street is Greenacre's kind of everyday park: paved paths, open grass and a steady, low-key feel. Dogs are welcome on a lead.

Lead rules

The City of Canterbury Bankstown runs Lee Park as an on-leash space. It is not a signed off-leash area, so the lead stays on for the whole walk.

The walk

The paths are paved and well kept, running past open grassed sporting fields and a children's playground. Mature trees around the edges give patchy shade that shifts through the day.

Locals like it because it misses the sports crowds and traffic of the bigger regional parks, which makes it an easy place for a calm decompression lap.

Before you go

There is no dedicated dog water in the park, and bag dispensers are thin on the ground, so bring both. General rubbish bins are around the area.

Pepsi: Pack a bottle and a bowl. On a warm afternoon the shade here comes and goes.

Parking is on the street along Russell Street and the surrounding residential blocks.
