Lamerough Creekside Walk

Paperbarks and eucalypts shade most of the Lamerough Creekside Walk, a wide gravel path beside Lamerough Creek in the Lamerough Creek West Environment Reserve. Dogs are allowed on lead only, which keeps it a quiet walk.

Lead rules

Sunshine Coast Council manages the reserve as a protected environmental area. Dogs must be on a lead on the paths to protect the wildlife.

The walk

The path is wide, flat gravel through coastal woodland, with sedges lining the creek bank. Waterbirds and other local birds are common along the water.

The tree cover keeps much of the track cool. Park on the street near the reserve entries along roads like Tweddell Drive, where you will also find the bins.

There are no bubblers on the trail, so bring water and a bowl for the dog.

Make a day of it

Pelican Waters Dog Park is nearby for an off-lead run, and Bean There Done That Espresso Bar Pelican Waters is handy for a coffee.

The flat path and shade make this a good summer walk for older dogs and slow sniffers.
