Kokoda Park

Kokoda Park in Gordon Park sits beside Kedron Brook and plugs straight into the brook's concrete bikeway. It pairs an off-leash dog park with on-lead parkland, so one visit covers a walk and a run.

Leads and the off-lead area

Brisbane City Council zones the park. Dogs can be off lead in the designated dog park area, which has fenced and open sections, and must be on lead in the rest of the park.

The walk

Paved concrete paths wind through green riverside parkland and open grassy fields beside the flowing brook. Because they join the Kedron Brook bikeway, you can stretch the walk as far as you like, so keep an eye out for bikes.

Bring water for the dog, especially if you plan to head out along the brook.
