Goldie Espresso is a small neighbourhood coffee bar at 97 Thistle Street, Gordon Park, built around Kedron Brook foot traffic, and dogs are explicitly welcome at the outdoor tables. It pours Toby's Estate, keeps the menu quick, and gets a steady stream of dog walkers and runners every weekend morning.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables and sidewalk seating out front. There are dedicated dog-clip stations fitted outside, so you can secure your dog while you step up and order, and water bowls are usually put out for passing dogs. Most visitors here are mid-walk with a lead still clipped on, so a settled dog is the norm rather than the exception.

The vibe and the menu

Coffee-first and quick: Toby's Estate espresso, toasties, breaky burgers, pastries and toast options. Hours run early, from 5:30am on weekdays and 6am weekends, closing 1pm most days, with Mondays a 5:30am to 10am window per current listings. Weekend mornings bring the post-walk crowd, so weekday is the quiet version.

Getting there and parking

The cafe sits on Thistle Street right by the Kedron Brook walkway. Free street parking is available along Thistle Street and the surrounding residential streets, though the park-adjacent spots fill early on weekend mornings when local sport and dog walkers land at once.

Close by with the dogs

The obvious pairing is the brook itself: the Kedron Brook Off Lead Dog Park is a short walk away and the Kedron Brook Dog Beach gives dogs a swim on the same corridor. Bradbury Park Fenced Dog Park is the big fenced option a little further along.
