Blind Creek Trail

Blind Creek Trail is a regional shared path through Knox, running past Knoxfield and through Wantirna South on its way across the outer east. It follows the creek past wetlands and grassy reserves, and it has its own off-lead area in Wantirna South.

Leads and the off-lead area

Knox City Council requires dogs on a lead on shared walking and bike tracks, so keep them clipped on the trail itself. The Blind Creek off-lead area in Wantirna South is the place to let them run.

The walk

The path is mostly asphalt and concrete, with a few short gravel or boardwalk stretches. It is flat and easy going, with leafy corridors and open reserves where ducks and swamphens feed.

Bins are placed near access points and street crossings. Some open sections get full sun, so carry water for longer stretches.

Max: Cyclists use this path too. Keep a short lead and step to the side as riders pass.

Loop through Collier Reserve, then refuel at Spade 9 Cafe & Bar.

Flat and paved, it suits dogs of any age; mornings are cooler on the exposed wetland sections.
