Kingston Park Foreshore Promenade

The Kingston Park foreshore promenade follows the Gulf St Vincent coast as part of the Coast Park trail network. Dogs can be off lead in the Kingston Park Coastal Reserve, as long as they are under effective control.

Leads and the beach

City of Holdfast Bay allows off-lead dogs in the coastal reserve. The beach below follows the council's seasonal foreshore rules instead.

During daylight saving, dogs must be on a lead on the beach during set peak daytime hours, and can be off lead at other times. Check the signs at the beach access for the current hours.

The walk

The promenade is a sealed concrete shared path, so expect bikes as well as walkers.

Views stretch across the gulf, past rocky cliffs and native coastal plants, with the Tjilbruke Monument along the way.

Max: Shared path means bikes. Call your dog in close when you hear a bell.

When to go

In summer, go early or in the evening, outside the beach's peak lead hours and before the paved path heats up.
