Nest Kiosk Kingston Park

Nest Kiosk sits right on the sand at 4 Burnham Road in Kingston Park, next to the Brighton Beachfront Holiday Park, about 20 minutes south of Adelaide. It is a speciality coffee and all-day breakfast spot with uninterrupted ocean views, and it has a loyal following among local dog walkers.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating areas, on lead, and the shaded courtyard and window bays give a few different spots to settle. Dogs are not permitted indoors, in line with council food-safety rules, and there is no fee for bringing one.

Water bowls are often put out for thirsty dogs and staff are known to hand out the odd treat, though it is worth asking rather than assuming.

Worth knowing

The menu runs to all-day breakfast and lunch, acai bowls, toasted banana bread and a small list of local wines alongside the coffee. The kiosk also takes exclusive hires for private evening events, so check ahead if you are planning a late visit.

Hours are 7am to 3pm every day, and mornings are the easiest time to grab an outdoor table before the breakfast crowd builds.

Getting there

There is a small car park beside the venue plus free street parking on Burnham Road, Kingston Crescent and Strickland Road, with overflow near the Seacliff Surf Life Saving Club. The kiosk is wheelchair accessible with an accessible entrance and restroom.

Close by with the dogs

Kingston Park sits on the Coast Park route, a roughly 9-kilometre coastal trail, and the Kingston Park Coastal Reserve has cliff-top lookouts nearby for a walk before or after coffee. Foreshore areas through Holdfast Bay mix on-leash and time-based off-leash zones, so read the council signage before unclipping.

The kiosk sits next door to the Brighton Beachfront Holiday Park, which keeps the whole beach-and-breakfast day in one spot, and the Boatshed at Hallett Cove is a short drive south down the coast.
