Kangarilla Oval Perimeter Walk

The Kangarilla Oval perimeter walk circles the Kangarilla Recreation Ground on Kangarilla Road, a country sports ground with open turf and plenty of room. City of Onkaparinga rules apply, so walk it on lead.

Lead rules

Dogs must be under effective control, and on lead within 10 metres of organised sport, the playground and the picnic areas.

The walk

The loop follows mown grass around the edge of the oval, past the playground, tennis and netball courts and scattered old trees. It is flat, clean and short.

There is on-site parking, public toilets and bins near the playground. Shade is partial, mostly around the edges and the barbecue area.

Pepsi: Pack a bowl. Water for dogs is not a given here, and the oval gets warm.

Who it suits

Dogs who like a simple, open circuit with no hills. Aim for quiet times away from matches.
