The rules
Sessions are booked in advance through the park's Facebook group, and turning up without a booking means no entry. Each booking runs 45 minutes with a 15 minute changeover before the next group, so visitors never overlap. The park is open Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm, and closed Mondays.
Up to three dogs from no more than two households can share a single session, and dogs need to be healthy and either fully vaccinated or on a current titre test.
What's there
The paddock is fully fenced over natural rural terrain, with agility equipment, tunnels, toys and a paddling pool that gets refreshed between bookings. A water station is provided and shade trees break up the open ground. The boundary backs onto neighbouring livestock paddocks, which adds interesting smells but means reactive dogs still need watching near the fence.
Max: book the weekend morning slot early. Exclusive-use sessions fill fast, and the changeover gap means you can let the last dog back in the car before anyone else arrives.
Getting there
The address is off Peters Creek Road at Knotts Hill Road, Kangarilla, roughly 50 minutes from Adelaide. There is no public transport this far out, so you need your own car; on-site parking is provided, including wheelchair-accessible parking.
While you're out there
Kangarilla's own Secret Wine Garden is close by for a post-paddock drink, and Bean Loved in Willunga does dog-friendly coffee on the way home. The Willunga Basin Trail adds a lead walk if you want a full day out.
When to go
Weekdays are the quietest and easiest to book, and early sessions beat the summer heat on the open paddock. Check current session rates and availability when you book, as these are set by the operators.
