Healesville Freeway Reserve walk

The Healesville Freeway Reserve walk follows a long green corridor from Springvale Road in Forest Hill to Morack Golf Course in Vermont. Its big draw is the Davy Lane Dog Off-Leash Area partway along.

Leads and the off-lead area

Dogs can run free in the signed Davy Lane off-leash area. On the connecting paths, keep them on lead and share the way with other users.

Whitehorse City Council looks after local precincts like Davy Lane.

The walk

The formal shared trail is compacted granitic gravel with some paved sections, and a few informal tracks are narrow and rough. You pass open grassland, community gardens, play areas and pockets of remnant woodland.

The terrain is flat, with scattered trees and some long unshaded stretches.

Water and parking

Drinking water and bins are near the Davy Lane and Strathdon House area. Park there or on the neighbouring streets.
