Guildford Park

Guildford Park sits in Guildford, right on the Guildford West border, and it works as a simple local stretch on paved paths with your dog on a lead.

Lead rules

Cumberland City Council manages the park as general community land. It is not a designated off-leash zone, so dogs stay on a lead and under effective control.

The walk

Paved concrete paths loop past open grassy patches, a children's playground and a half-court for basketball. The layout is flat and open, which makes it an easy place to stretch the legs.

Mature trees give scattered shade around the perimeter.

What to bring

Bins are placed around the grounds, but dog water is not something to count on, so bring a bottle. Parking is on the surrounding streets.

If your dog needs a run off the lead, Little Duck Creek Reserve on Wolseley Street in Guildford has a designated off-leash area with fencing and bins.
