Little Duck Creek Reserve Fenced Dog Park

Little Duck Creek Reserve Fenced Dog Park is a fully fenced, double-gated off-leash park on Robertson Street in Guildford, running long and narrow alongside the Little Duck Creek cycleway under Cumberland City Council. The secure enclosure plus an on-leash walk right next door is what sets it apart from the suburb's open ovals.

The dog setup

Perimeter fencing with a double-gate entry stops dogs bolting while you work the gates, and benches, waste bags and bins are provided, with mature trees giving patchy shade. Water is not guaranteed, so bring your own bowl, and dogs must be leashed for the transitions in and out of the enclosure.

Even off-leash, dogs must stay under effective control, dangerous and restricted dogs are not permitted, and any dog showing aggression needs to be removed immediately. Council rangers can issue on-the-spot fines of up to $275 for uncollected waste, and if mowing is underway you will be asked to clear the area for 20 to 30 minutes.

Worth knowing

The yard is generally quiet, with Saturday afternoons and Monday evenings drawing the biggest local traffic and midweek evenings noticeably calmer. It suits cautious dogs well because the enclosure is compact enough to keep an eye on everything.

Getting there

Street parking around Robertson Street is generally easy outside peak times, and the reserve sits near Wolseley Street. Guildford Station on the T2 line is a walkable 10 to 15 minutes away, and buses run along Woodville Road and Guildford Road.

Close by with the dogs

If the fenced yard feels crowded, the cycleway running alongside it is a solid on-leash backup, and the Fairfield Park Fenced Dog Park is a short drive south for a bigger fenced session.
