FS Garside Park Fenced Dog Park

FS Garside Park's fenced dog area sits on Onslow Street in Granville, inside a three-hectare multi-purpose park that had a full redevelopment finish in August 2024. The standout feature is the split design: separate zones for quiet dogs and playful dogs, which is not something every fenced park in Sydney's west bothers with.

The rules. Off-leash applies only inside the fenced enclosure; leads go back on everywhere else in the park, including the new sports turf, which is off limits to dogs entirely. Owners need to stay with their dogs and keep them under voice control, and waste bins are provided but bring your own bags as backup. Double-gated entry points keep things secure while you're arriving or leaving.

What's there. The park has good water facilities, bench seating, secure fencing, and a dedicated 58-space car park on-site, which is generous for a suburban dog park. Toilets are available in the wider park. The enclosure itself isn't lit at night, though the adjacent multi-use court is.

Getting there. There's a large dedicated car park right on Onslow Street. Granville station is within walking distance and connects to the T1, T2 and Cumberland lines, and the park sits close to the M4.

Saturday mornings and Friday evenings draw the biggest crowds, while Sunday afternoons and Wednesday or Thursday evenings are noticeably quieter. Good for confident dogs who enjoy a mixed crowd, and just as workable for calmer dogs if you stick to the quiet zone.
