Glades Bay Park and Wulaba Track

The Wulaba Track winds on timber boardwalk through mangroves and saltmarsh on the Parramatta River foreshore at Gladesville, linking into Glades Bay Park. It is a shady walk with plenty to sniff, and the lead stays on.

Lead rules

City of Ryde allows dogs here on lead only. Neither the track nor the park is a designated off-leash area.

The walk

Raised boardwalks cross the wetland sections, with dirt bush tracks and sandstone paths joining them up. Trees and mangroves canopy the boardwalk for its whole length.

Signs along the way tell the heritage of the Wallumedegal people. Bins are at the entry points, especially around Bill Mitchell Park.

Carry water, as bubblers on the narrow boardwalk are few.

Getting started

Park near the Morrison Road entrance beside Bill Mitchell Park for the easiest access to the track.

Make a day of it

Finish at On Cowell or CAV & CO. Cafe in Gladesville.

When to go

The full canopy makes this a good hot-day choice. The boardwalk is narrow, so a dog that passes others politely will enjoy it most.
