The short version. On Cowell is a casual, family-run cafe on Cowell Street in Gladesville with an alfresco area that is genuinely set up for dogs, not just tolerant of them.

The dog setup. Dogs join you in the outdoor alfresco section, clean tables and enough room to settle a dog underfoot. Standard cafe manners apply, leash on, dog close to your chair. Confirm water bowl availability at busy times, it was not consistently mentioned in what we found.

Good to know. Known for strong coffee and a nourishing breakfast menu, potato rosti eggs benedict and ricotta hotcakes get called out often, alongside a wagyu burger for lunch. Casual, community feel, friendly to prams as well as dogs.

Getting there. Free three-hour parking is available in the public carpark right in front of the cafe, close to the Cowell Street and Victoria Road intersection, which makes this one of the easier Gladesville cafes to just pull up to.

Nearby with the dogs. Gladesville Reserve is a short drive for open space and a proper walk, and Wharf Road Reserve gives a waterfront stroll if you want to stretch the dog's legs before or after coffee.

The free carpark out front makes this an easy stop even at short notice, weekday mornings will be your calmest window.
