Yarranabbe Park Loop

Yarranabbe Park, often listed as Yarranbee, runs along the harbour foreshore in Darling Point, right next to Rushcutters Bay. Dogs can be off leash here at any hour, which is rare this close to the city.

Leads and the off-lead area

Woollahra Municipal Council allows dogs off leash in Yarranabbe Park at all times. The loop continues into Rushcutters Bay Park, where dogs may be off leash before 10:30am and after 3:30pm, but not during organised sport.

Between those hours, dogs in Rushcutters Bay Park go back on lead.

The walk

Paved paths and grass follow the water, with moored yachts, the marina and the city skyline in view. There are drinking fountains, plenty of bins and shaded grass under established trees.

Parking is limited to the street, along New Beach Road and nearby.

Pepsi: Mornings and late afternoons are when the local dog crowd turns up, so that is the time for a social run.

Make a day of it

Carry on into Rushcutters Bay Park during its off-lead hours, then grab a coffee at Scramble And Bean.

When to go

Before 10:30am you can walk the whole loop with the lead off in both parks. Street parking is limited, so allow time to find a spot.
