Collie Mural Trail Walk

More than 40 large murals turn a walk through Collie's town centre into an outdoor gallery, telling the story of the town's mining, industrial and Aboriginal history. The trail sticks to footpaths and laneways, and dogs join in on a lead.

Lead rules

Shire of Collie rules require dogs to stay on a lead on town footpaths and public thoroughfares, which covers the whole trail.

The walk

The route starts near the Collie Visitor Centre on Throssell Street and follows sealed concrete and asphalt footpaths, with short sections on grass. It is flat and even, with no burrs or mud, which suits older dogs.

Street trees and awnings shade some stretches, while open streets and sunny laneways do not.

Getting started

Use the public parking around the town centre, near the visitor centre. There are no dog bowls on the route, so bring water. Bins are easy to find in town.

For a greener second walk, the Collie River Walk follows the river close to town.

Go early on summer days, when the laneways are cooler. It fits neatly around errands or a coffee stop in town.
