Wambenger Lodge is a self-contained apartment stay on Lefroy Street in Collie, converted from an old veterinary clinic and sitting close to the Collie River and its walking tracks. Bookings with a dog must go directly through the lodge's website or by phone rather than third-party sites, so management can confirm the arrangement before you arrive. Turning up unannounced with a dog risks being turned away.

The apartments are self-contained with full kitchens, reverse-cycle air conditioning, laundry access and modern decor, which suits a few nights in Collie with a dog in tow and no appetite for takeaway every evening. Book individually or take the whole lodge for a group. There is secure outdoor space for dogs on some bookings, worth confirming when you call.

Getting there and around

The lodge sits a couple of minutes from the Collie town centre, with off-street parking at the property. River walks start close by, and the town's cafes are within walking distance, though bring your own water bowl and lead since amenities along the river track are not guaranteed.
