Around the Bridges Trail

Around the Bridges is a short town loop beside the Collie River, taking in Soldiers Park and a historic arboretum of native trees. The sealed path suits walkers, prams and wheelchairs, and dogs come on a lead.

Lead rules

The Shire of Collie requires dogs to be on a leash in public reserves, parks and shared paths, so keep yours leashed for the whole loop.

The walk

The dual-use path is asphalt and concrete, with gentle slopes and accessible ramps, including one at the Collie-Darkan Road bridge. Views take in the river, the parklands and the arboretum.

Some sections are shaded and sheltered, while others sit open to the sun.

Water and parking

The river is close by, but bring a bottle for your dog, as bowls and fountains may be limited. Public toilets are near the trail and the surrounding parks.

Car parks sit near the bridge approaches.

Make a day of it

For a longer outing, pick up the Collie River Walk, which follows the river further.

Flat, sealed and close to town facilities, it works for older dogs and as a quick walk between other stops.
