Clyde Creek Wetlands Trail

The Clyde Creek Wetlands Trail loops through the creek and wetland reserves of Clyde and Clyde North, among the newer housing estates. It is flat and paved, and dogs stay on a lead.

Lead rules

The City of Casey requires dogs to be on a leash along public tracks and urban reserves, and that applies across this whole path network.

The walk

Asphalt paths run past wetland habitat, native plantings and stormwater ponds, with open sky and birdlife along the way. The loops are flat and accessible, good for daily walks, training sessions or older dogs.

Many of the trees are young, so shade is thin in the newer sections.

Water and parking

Drinking water can be hard to find along the open wetland trail, so bring a bowl and a bottle. Bins sit at the main entry points and the edges of the adjoining parks.

Park on the streets of the surrounding estates, which connect straight onto the paths.

For off-lead play nearby, try Maple Park Fenced Dog Park or Pasadena Fenced Dog Park, both in Clyde.

Skip the middle of a hot day, since the exposed paths offer little relief. Early mornings suit best.
