Cintra Park

Cintra Park, off Gipps Street on the Concord side of the Five Dock border, earns its place with an off-leash area that is open around the clock.

Lead rules

City of Canada Bay Council manages the park. In the designated off-leash area, dogs can run free at any hour.

That area is not fenced, so recall matters. Outside it, including around the sports grounds, keep your dog on a lead.

The walk

Paved paths run between wide grass fields and the netball and tennis complexes. It is a simple, open space rather than a scenic trail, and that suits a good run.

Max: No fence around the off-leash zone. Only unclip if your dog comes back when called.

Make a day of it

Stretch the outing on the Concord Foreshore Trail, or finish at Gale St Espresso Bar.

Best for dogs with reliable recall who want space to run, at whatever hour suits you.
