Long Park

What locals call the Queens Park linear park is officially Long Park, the green corridor under the elevated Armadale Line from Carlisle through Queens Park and Cannington to Beckenham. Paved shared paths run its length, with dedicated dog spaces along the way.

Leads and the off-lead areas

On the shared paths and the general corridor, dogs stay on lead. Off-lead play is allowed only inside the dedicated dog park areas built into the park's community spaces.

The walk

The concrete paths are shared with cyclists and wheelchairs, so keep your dog close. Native planting lines the route, along with a public art trail telling local Noongar stories.

Trees give some shade, but open stretches catch the midday sun. Bins sit along the path and at the entry points, and it is worth carrying water for the dog.
